Former US treasury secretary Lawrence Summers is exiting the board at the artificial intelligence firm, just several days after a batch of emails between him and notorious criminal the disgraced billionaire became public.
Summers stated in a release that he was "thankful for the privilege to have participated, optimistic about the prospects of the company, and anticipate observing their advancement".
The former Harvard president, who once led the prestigious university, announced on Monday that he would be stepping back from public roles due to his connections with Epstein.
